Property Description:

Cornwall Orchards Bed & Breakfast is a comfortable 1783 Vermont farmhouse located between the Green and the Adirondack Mountains, three miles from Middlebury College. We have four guest bedrooms, two on the first floor and two upstairs, each colorfully decorated and with its own private bath.

We serve a creatively prepared hot breakfast made with locally grown and/or organic ingredients along with locally roasted coffee. We are a small orchard ourselves, growing apples and a variety of berries–you can count on delicious jam with breakfast.

Guests enjoy views from a lovely deck and exploring the trails out back. We are minutes from the Middlebury College Field House but surrounded by picturesque farm and orchard country. Within 30 minutes of us you will find superb hiking and skiing at Vermont state parks, a vibrant local food and fermentation scene, as well as cultural and historic sites where you can learn about the original inhabitants, early settlers, and the underground railroad.

You don’t have to leave your values at home when you stay with us. We compost, recycle, mind our water and energy use, and care for our thirteen acres of wildlife habitat that we hope you will explore. We have lots of birdlife.

What Our Guests Are Saying:

We just found our favorite B&B! We went to Middlebury for a show, found this B&B per chance as most other places were full due to a bike event, and now we know where we will return as first choice. I am so grateful to find carefully prepared organic food – a big consideration for us – and so delicious, some right from the garden. Beautiful, thoughtful surroundings, in and out, and genuine, caring hosts. Thank you so much, a real gem– I have spread the word to my friends.
